Local weather

The climate is sun, sun and more sun! Gets very hot in July and August, with average temperatures in the high 30's. Cooler temperatures are in the months of November through to April, but there will still be a lot of sun. Rainfall in the area is very little, being a desert. It is sometimes unpredictable, with the odd May and June storms but on the whole, it's more likely to rain in the cooler months.

The wind!

You will notice that is can sometimes get quite windy, especially in the afternoon. While this provides some respite against the heat, we recommend taking down the sun umbrellas so they don't take off and end up half way down the valley.
